Ten on Ten

How do you like your pizza?  Mmmm... tomatos, onions, spinach, and eggplant.  =)

What would be your theme song?  "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield ... or "Free to Be Me" by Francesca Battistelli

What is/will be your career? Nursing!  I'm set to graduate nursing school in 2013!

What type of learner are you (audio, visual, tactile)?  I have no idea.  Five years of college, 12 years of primary education, and I still have no earthly idea what I am.  In the hospital, obviously I'm tactile.  In school, I would say I would much rather read a book and teach myself.  But I also do well with visuals.  You can be all of the above, right?

Do you have any interesting or strange phobias? My #1 phobia is pretty normal, so it's not worth mentioning.  My #2 is mosquitos.  I hate them.  With a passion.  They love me.  With a passion.  Within minutes of being outside I will have multiple bugbites.  Why are they a phobia for me?  Because they are the #1 killer insect in the world.  West Nile Virus (been reading the news lately?), malaria, yellow fever, encephalitis, etc, etc.  I knew someone personally who had encephalitis from a mosquito bite IN THE USA.  They had to relearn how to walk and talk again at 18 years of age -- a best case scenario.  Why am I scaring you?  Because they are out there people.  Flying amongst us.  My family laughs at my phobia, but it's no small talk with this creatures.  They mean business.

If you had $1,000 that you could spend only at your favorite store, which store would that be?
TJ Maxx's HomeGoods.  I love home shopping.

Do you prefer sweet or salty?  Sweet.  Oh, boy, I may have health reasons and other reasons galore that led me to gain weight in 2011, but part of it was that when I was stressed and needed comfort food, I went to ice cream.  Love that stuff.  I switched to frozen yogurt this year and haven't looked back!

Would you rather fly or be invisible?  Fly.  I live in Atlanta.  Traffic stinks.  And a helicopter or plane is just inconvenient.  Where would you land/park in downtown Atlanta?

If you could have been the inventor of any process/product/system/etc that has already been invented, what would that be? Eg, the toilet, sliced bread, the Internet -- be creative.  This is goofy, but I would totally invent those guard rails on the roads.  Brilliant.  They absorb impact and help save lives.  Right on.  Or the retractable needle, right nurses?

Cat or dog? ... Or bird, fish, lizard, hamster, etc.  Cats.  Husband and I are cat people without question.  Though, we are obsessed with our puppy.  I also would like a pet jaguar -- they are the only large cats that purr!  And they are playful and loving.  Duncan would like an elephant.  I told him no, we will not be having an elephant.  They are mean.  I also already know the names of our future chickens: Robespierre, Voltaire, and Shakespeare.  I'd love to have a big aquarium, too.  If I had a lot of money for a home, I'd install an aquarium as the walls to my pool.  Wouldn't that be wicked awesome?  Don't worry, you're all invited for a pool party.

  2. Fun post! Even though I have to disagree on the pizza topics and the cat (okay, I like cats, but I love dogs) - ha ha! Mosquitoes are terribly annoying, but the German ones are not quite as dangerous and not as blood-thirsty as the American ones (I've never in my life had more mosquito bites in five seconds than in Mt Rainier National park!) - but you have to be really careful about ticks here!
