WW: Autumn-Themed Engagement Session

This Sunday, November 6, Duncan and I are having our engagement session.

I think we are both going in to this with a bit of uneasiness.  This engagement session is part of the package we got for our wedding photography (and I am all about getting the most for our money!).  However, I feel like we're going to be awkward (and I feel bad for our photographer already).  I know for sure I do not want to do the kissy pictures (I'm so silly, that I'm freaking out about the "You may now kiss the bride" um, can we do that on our own afterwards, please?).

I would love to capture our personalities and our love, but I'm worried there might be a lot of deer-in-the-headlight looks.  I asked Duncan if we could maybe go for a 'rita beforehand... he didn't think that was a good idea.

We are going to shoot at our engagement session at a location that we used to frequent before I got in to nursing school: Roswell Mill.  We were there last autumn, and it was beautiful!  It's a great place for hiking (which we like to do), there's a waterfall there (it's the Chattahoochee, y'all!), some old ruins, and a covered bridge.

So, I wanted to do things to help ... guide us along and I'll go in to more detail next week on Wedding Wednesday about how it went, etc.  But for now I wanted to show some pictures about why I love autumn engagement sessions.

Here are some of my favorite inspiration images:
