Atlanta Greek Festival

This weekend was filled with festivities.  Duncan's car broke down and we went looking with his parents for possible replacement options and to have dinner.  Then, on Sunday we went to meet up with friends at the Atlanta Greek Festival.  It was great fun spending time with them.  One of Duncan's longtime friends, Cody, was able to come and I hate how they aren't able to see each other as often as they used to, so we were all happy he was able to come.  Here are some pictures from the Greek Festival:
The altar(?) and pews inside of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation.
A view of the back.  What gorgeous mosaic craftsmanship!
Duncan, Cody, and his sister, Katie.
Myself with Katie & Katie
With Duncan in front of the Cathedral.
That bag is full of sweet Greek treats :)
What did you do this past weekend?

Enjoying the fall weather?
I've waited all year for it!

Just What the Doctor Ordered

Last week I had caught a bug and was feeling pretty rotten for several days.  But I was feeling better by Friday and Friday night a much-needed girls night was scheduled with two lovely ladies, with whom I went to the Shakespeare Tavern with here.  I also asked them to be bridesmaids so I was a little nervous and excited at the same time.
Katie & Katie at dinner with their "Will you be my bridesmaid?" cards.
We drove to Downtown Roswell and went to a sushi & tapas restaurant & bar, called Zest.
Hello, yum yums!
Me, Katie, Katie.
"Zest," the restaurant we ate at in downtown Roswell.
Then I introduced them to Cloud 9 Frozen Yogurt & Cupcakes.  I have no pictures from Cloud 9, but they agreed they were like the best cupcakes ever.   It was great being able to see them since we all are going in different directions in life and I know being in the nursing program provides me with little spare time.  In fact, I'm off to another week of school and hospital.

Have a mind-blowing Monday!

Weekend Recap

Knock Out Roses in front of the house greet us every spring.
They are so beautiful and I always love capturing pictures of them.

Duncan and I were in need of a break from reality since it's finals weeks..
We drove to the Avenue to walk around and we stopped inside
The Chocolaterie and bought a Triple Chocolate brownie (for Duncan)
and a Chocolate Crunch cookie (for myself)
We saved them for later,
and agreed they were the best desserts imaginable.  Needless to say,
we found our new guilty pleasures.
