Cargo Pants and Heels

Shirt: who knows!
Necklace: Forever21
Bracelets on right hand: Velina Bracelets
Watch on left hand: Geneva
Cargo pants: thrifted from The Drake Closet
Heels: purchased from Famous Footwear

I was totally in the mood to dress up these thrifted pants with heels and a tee shirt.  Husband wasn't a big fan, but I wasn't wearing this outfit with him, he just took the picture.  Hey, I may or may not do it again, but personal style is always an experiment.  What are your thoughts: yay or nay? xo

It's called "taupe."

This weekend we celebrated my birthday.  I wore this as my birthday outfit.  Duncan was curious as to what color the skirt was, because he thought it was grey.  I said it was more of a taupe.  He didn't really like the word.  Oh well.  Leave the names of colors to me, husband.

Cami, lace top, skirt: Forever21 // Shoes: Target // Envelope clutch: thrifted from The Drake Closet

We debated about what I should do with the top.
I thought that it should be tucked in, while he liked it left out.
We both thought we'd ask you friends to make the final decision.

Comment or vote in the poll below your thoughts.

Goin' Thrifting II

This week The Drake Closet was having some sales (BOGO free, in fact!).  So, I headed over to snag some more delicious finds that I will be lookbooking for you in the next few weeks.  They always have such great stuff that is gently used from so many stores such as: Ann Taylor Loft, New York & Company, BCBG, Abercrombie & Fitch, J. Crew, Ralph Lauren, and more.  Here are just some of my finds for my trip:

I also picked up some stuff for my mother.  I love The Drake Closet and I just love that it benefits the Drake House which helps homeless women and children.

For you Georgia ladies, here is the address:
825 Mimosa Boulevard
Roswell, GA

Happy Weekend!

Goin' Thrifting

This week for "Oh, So Charming" I've decided to share my recent (and first ever) thrift store experience.  I went on Tuesday at the urging of my mother.  Her good friend volunteers there so my mom suggested I go see what I could find.  As much as I was glued to my studies, how could I say no to taking a break to score some deals?  After all, I am a woman.

The thrift store is called The Drake Closet, located in Downtown Roswell, and it opened recently to support a local shelter that provides "short-term crisis housing and support to homeless mothers and their children."  Read more here.

The Drake Closet has gently used, like new, and new clothes (yes, with tags still on!) just like a little boutique!  I even sawa few of my favorite stores: J. Crew, Ann Taylor, and Ralph Lauren.

Here are my finds: one coat, two jackets, two tops, two skirts, and a purse!

I might have to find some time to do some outfit posts to prove why I fell in love with these finds.  If you're in the Atlanta area, head to downtown Roswell to help out a great cause and get some great deals on fashion.  Here's the address:
The Drake Closet
825 Mimosa Boulevard
Roswell, GA  30075

Note: parking is a little funny because it is downtown Roswell.  There are signs on the street that say "No parking expect Sundays," some say to ignore those, but there are plenty of parking lots around, including a small one at the boutique, where I parked.

P.S. check out this AWESOME giveaway from Christian Personal Finance blog!
